Applying Technologies To Buiness

Issue-5

Think Tank

Thank you 2004, you gave a new life to Hi-Tech corporate world. You are going, never to return in our life, Good Bye 2004.

Tecmac welcomes 2005, a year, which is all set to rewrite the growth of IT & Telecom business. This is going to be a pro Techno-Commercial year in which critical business moves will decide the leader in 2006. This year is going to be the base for those companies, which will be able to face upcoming probable recession of 2007. So all the best, let us extract maximum out of this fertile year and do our best.

Tecmac sends a warning signal for those companies, which are still slow mover. Time is small and task is large. Now companies need to be very efficient as well as quick. Unfortunately in upcoming time governments will not be able to help the business world. France, Britain, USA tried to help their respective companies in past but that created havoc in western region. Now none of these have political will or money to do so again. While talking about India, we don’t have both. Why? Please think and scan the past.

Wi-Fi has started moving in India. It indicates that it’s advantages and disadvantages will reap in soon. Through this edition we are trying to put forward some issues and jargons so that our readers may be aware of those.

It was last week of January when Tecmac was formed, 3 students of SITM came together to surprise and rewrite definition of Consulting in IT & Telecom domain. In February 2004, we announced our strategy and therefore TECMAC WILL CELEBRATE IT’S FIRST ANNIVERSARY IN FEBURAY. Therefore remember to read our March-05 issue, which is first anniversary special.

We are firm, determined and motivated. We have ability to change the direction of corporate wave and courage to take back sleep from so called misleading consultants. Come on join us, grow with us and we’ll definitely Dream Undreamt”.

Thanks & Regards

Tecmac Editorial Team

1-What do you think about 74% FDI in Telecom Sector?

2- Revenue growth is below half of the subscriber growth. Is it good for telecom?

3-MMS Drama. Are we ready to use such technology?

4- Is mobile safe for a child?

Headache Of The Year

From Stone age to Information age, Human civilization has finished a mega race. At every stage it was raw material i.e. Stone for Stone age, Iron for Iron age, Semiconductor for Electronics age, Information for Information age which changed the Civilization and gave birth to new Industry. A stone age person never thought for Iron, an Iron age person never imagined about Electronics and before few years we never expected that Internet may become such a big industry. But we request you to open your third eye and dream for future. What is going to be next material, which will change us and give birth to next industry???

Circuit or Money

Day Dreams

Sept-11 was a live test for the Telecom/Communication network. Ms Shally Rechards, a top class consultant in Silicon Valley, writes in FutureNet that only one network was working and that was Internet/IP Network. Telecom network crashed just like anything and nothing helpful <<Click Here For Complete Article>>

1- For next two year, there is no concrete success story for Broadband(In next edition we'll try to find out why?)
2- In next year,Mobile applications will affect more market penetration than mobile advertisement.

(This section is a part of our annual paper which will be issued in the Tecmac Foundation Month since next year. Suggestions and contents are expected from our readers)

War-Driving

Wardriving is the gathering of statistics about wireless networks in a given area by listening for their publicly available broadcast beacons. Wireless access points announce their presence at set intervals (usually 100 milliseconds) by broadcasting a packet containing their service  <<Click here 4 More>>

After 5 months of beautifully played drama Telecom ministry is likely to raise FDI in Telecom sector upto 74%. It was last century when government was running business now business is expected to run government. Our government which is mixture of right, left etc first came in its old style.
1- We'll not sell profit making PSUs
2- FDI in Telecom & Print media will be kept under watch.
3- No foreign investor will be allowed to invest in other than infrastructure sector.

Now please re-read current dailies.
1-NTPC went to public, few more including BSNL, Power Corp are in process
2-FDI in Telecom and Print media is likely to be all time high
3- FDI & FII are looking more into IT, Pharma and Telecom (Please see the change in share holding pattern)

What happened to leftists. Nothing to worry. Whatever is happening is good and its good that now talented industry people are ruling over illiterate politicians. The political composition is also changing. We have Hi-Tech President, Finance hero Prime Minister and prominent personalities in the house (who filter out from those who frequently jump in WELL).
Think about India in Indian style.
1- What do you feel about such developments?
2- Whatever is happening, is it right?
3- Do you feel that government may go back?
