Think Tank

We are thankful to all of you for warm response and proper guidance. We received few very good suggestions and are trying to incorporate almost all. One has requested to explain telecom-IT jargons which are not common so we are starting “Jargon::Tecmac Explains” section. You may mail us asking for any particular Jargon. Almost all mails have one common suggestion i.e. to provide us news in the form of link so we are designing the letter accordingly. To read details in each section, you need to simply click on respective link.

Members want to respond automatically on the website and we understand that it is essential but we are trying to develop a virtual platform for almost all consulting activities which will have much more than such features. We request our friends to wait till that.

There was confusion regarding Think-Tank. It is a section in which we request our members to focus and debate.

We are starting a new section “Headache Of The Year”. Tecmac requests you to think on the Topic, which will be up for one year and respond whenever whatever comes in your mind. We’ll compile all postings at the end of the year and post it in Annual Edition.

May we request our professionals to warm-up and come forward with critical thoughts, which can energize sleeping giants and make us to run beyond horizon so that we can “Dream Undreamt”

Headache Of The Year
From Stone age to Information age, Human civilization has finished a mega race. At every stage it was raw material i.e. Stone for Stone age, Iron for Iron age, Semiconductor for Electronics age, Information for Information age which changed the Civilization and gave birth to new Industry. A stone age person never thought for Iron, an Iron age person never imagined about Electronics and before few years we never expected that Internet may become such a big industry. But we request you to open your third eye and dream for future. What is going to be next material, which will change us and give birth to next industry???

I feel its not a brand war but the heavy competition which everyone is facing in telecom business but as it is rightly said SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST so just wait and watch. It is high time now to start thinking again about BSNL. We are unnecessarily giving our competitors space to expand their network so I guess our policy makers should start thinking in this direction and start releasing the SIM to all the states.S.S. O2 launched UKs first 3G, GPRS and WLAN integrated services. Time Warner in USA decided to provide Phone Service through its cable whereas Landline operators are moving for Video and entertainment.

2-Landline companies will find it harder to compete in coming year. Gray Voice may be a new threat for them.

Outsourcing in telecom is taking new turn. Now big companies are not hesitating to give up few of their core activities to any outsider which can build confidence and bring down cost. Bharti, Hutch, Vodafone are few to name.
